Rule of Law and Hong Kong. He Who Has the Guns Makes the Laws

The tensions continue to rise in Hong Kong as protestors have taken to the streets in record numbers weekend and after weekend. In a Democracy, the government would have had to taken notice and try to come up with a solution. China has certainly taken notice but not in the same way whatsoever.

So, let’s be clear, China, er, Hong Kong is not a Democracy. Yes, I know, “one country, two systems.” However, it’s only two systems until the Chinese government has made it clear that it wants only one system and that is the one that they choose. And they are absolutely choosing.
