I’m extraordinarily honored to be Board Certified as a Criminal Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association. I have been practicing law for a long time and have tried a lot of cases over the last twenty plus years, everything from domestic assault to murder and pretty much everything in between. I did this year ago as a prosecutor and then for many years as a criminal defense lawyer when I founded Jack Rice Defense.

Fewer than 3% of all registered criminal defense attorneys in the State of Minnesota are certified specialists so this truly means a lot. Not only did it require extensive jury trial experience but also jury transcript review, Judge recommendations, opposing counsel recommendations, ethics board review, CLE Board review and review by my peers for whom I have unending respect.

I’ve learned a lot along the way but most importantly I have learned that I have more to learn and a lot more to do .
